FAQs


Will my wool have matching dye lots?

Yes. If you order four balls of yarn (for example) we will ensure the dye lots are the same. On the rare occasion where this may not be possible, we will compare the dyes to check for differences and contact you regarding the matter. 

Are your fabrics repeatable?

Plain fabrics such as Polycotton, Klona, Fleece and a few poplins (stars, mini stars and polka dots) are repeatable. The majority of our fabrics are subject to availability.

Can I cancel/amend my order?

Yes. If you would like to cancel your order, send us an email on enquiries.williamsons@gmail.com and we will cancel your order and provide a full refund. If you would like to amend your order, email us on the address stated above and we will make the changes. Alternatively, if your amendment is adding more items to your original order, simply put through a new order with your added products and we will send everything (your original and new order) together and refund you the second postage charge. 

Do you have a high street store?

Yes we do! Our high street store is situated on the coast in Southampton. Our address is 45 Victoria Road, Woolston, Southampton, SO19 9DY. We are open 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday, for holiday opening hours, check out our home page for updates or feel free to call the shop on 02380 448081. 

How are you COVID secure?

Our online stock is kept separate from the shop with separate staff members running each department. Should you come and visit our high street store, you will be required to wear a mask, allow us to gel your hands (we will provide latex-free gloves if allergic) and take your temperature (a non-invasive digital thermometer aimed at the forehead or wrist) before entry. We also allow a maximum of four customers inside at any one time due to the many pinch points in the shop. We are in an old, characterful building after all!

Do you sell net curtains?

To ensure the accuracy of measurements, we only sell net curtains via our high street store. Any accessories such as net wire, hooks and eyes and header tape can be purchased in store and online.

Do you do alterations?

Yes. We have an in-house seamstress who will be happy to help you. To enquire about her prices and availability, feel free to phone the shop on 02380 448081 or contact us via email or Facebook. 

Can I collect my order?

Yes you can! We are open 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday and we aim to have your order ready for collection the next working day. You will receive an email from us when your order is ready.

Do you sell Gift Cards?

You can purchase gift cards from our high street store, we are currently in the process of making them available online.
