Oh, hello…

Hello and welcome to our brand new website! We are so excited to show you all of our products, including our new Williamsons Home collection-a wonderful selection of handmade items for every crafter…but before we do, we think it’s about time we introduce ourselves:

Kate Paul:

Often in the workshop managing orders, accounts, staff, new items and anything else we can throw at her, Kate is the owner of Williamsons Haberdashery. She is an avid crocheter and a dab hand at sewing too. In addition of running both the online and highstreet stores, Kate is also one of the teachers for our evening classes (which should be back up and running very soon!) For those who are Woolston locals, you may also recognise some familiar faces as her in-laws, Pat and Keith Paul (who used to own the toy shop) pop in and visit from time to time.

The Highstreet Store Team:

Melissa: Melissa is a font of knitting and sewing knowledge and is one of our evening class teachers. She is always happy to help with any questions you may have (and is the shop’s biscuit connoisseur…)

Hannah: Hannah has worked her way up from Saturday girl to a full-time shop assistant, what Hannah doesn’t know about the shop isn’t worth knowing!

Diane: Diane is a member of Southampton Women’s Institute and is brilliant at sewing and knitting, her knowledge and quick wit are sure to help you with any projects you may have.

Holly: Holly is a crochet expert and her knowledge of our yarns is second to none. She will always guide you towards the perfect wools for your projects. Holly is also one of our evening class teachers, happy to share her vast crochet knowledge with newbies.

Jola: When she’s not popping over to see her family in Poland, Jola is an avid crocheter and our resident seamstress. From curtains to cushions, trousers to prom dresses, Jola is always busy altering garments and home furnishings to the perfect fit. The Online Team:

Melissa: When she’s not on the shop floor, Melissa manages the stock for online and helps with preparing and sending out your orders.

Kat: Kat is our social media and advertising master and also helps run the online store. She has written multiple crochet patterns for magazines and has also worked with Laura Ashley, Sirdar and BellaCoco Crochet Society! Together with Kate and Jen, Kat also works in the workshop to help make items for our Williamsons Home range. Kat’s pattern for her Lemon Blanket is available in store and will soon be available for download, for more of her wonderful work, find her on Instagram @knot.and.twist

Jenny: Jenny is our website genius, helps run the online store and is also often found in the workshop. She is an author and artist and helps wherever she can in designing new products. Jenny is also following in Melissa’s footsteps in becoming a biscuit connoisseur.
